ALICE ALLEMANO
Writer
Home: Welcome
My first full-length play, About Leo, was produced at the Jermyn Street Theatre in 2018. Other bits and pieces of my work have been performed and workshopped at The Bunker Theatre, Southwark Playhouse and Calder Bookshop Theatre. My short Bang Bang You're Dead was due to be on at The Pleasance Theatre as a part of AIAW theatre company's night 50/50. However, this has been postponed due to the pandemic situation we got going on.
My second full-length play, Super Blood Wolf Moon, was shortlisted for the inaugural Women's Prize for Playwriting, run by Paines Plough, EKP productions and 45North.
I am currently script editing on season 5 of Sky's hit comedy, BRASSIC. I am also under commission to write a TV pilot for the Kernel Factory.
My other screen credits include the Netflix film Outside the Wire. As well as script editing, I wrote some additional pieces for the final shooting script.
I look to platform the female voice and readdress the gender imbalance of our artistic heritage. The more diversity that we bring into the stories that we tell, then the brighter the future of our cultural landscape will be. This has never been more vital, as in this very moment. I hope to relay messages that touch people, make them laugh, make them think, and if I can make them cry too that would be cool.
As well as being a freelance writer, I also script edit - please go to my contact page to get in touch with me about that.
